Our Four Core Commitments

1. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the DataDost service: your name and email address (for your account), extracted financial insights from documents you upload (spending categories, totals, balances — never the raw document), and your questions and DataDost's responses within your session. We do not collect Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, bank account numbers, card numbers, or any government identification.

2. How we process your documents

When you upload a document, it is temporarily processed by our AI system (Anthropic Claude API) to extract financial insights. The raw document file is permanently deleted from our servers within seconds of processing. Only the extracted insights (e.g., "food delivery spend: ₹4,820", "closing balance: ₹3,820") are stored in your account — never the original PDF or image.

3. Where your data is stored

All user account data and financial insights are stored on servers located in India (Mumbai region, AWS ap-south-1) in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Your data does not leave Indian territory. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3.

4. Your rights under DPDP Act 2023

You have the right to: access all data DataDost holds about you, correct any inaccurate data, delete all your data permanently, withdraw consent at any time, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@datadost.in or use the Delete Account option in your profile settings.

5. Third-party services

DataDost uses the following third-party services to operate: Anthropic (AI processing — your document content is transmitted to Anthropic's API for analysis, subject to Anthropic's privacy policy), Supabase (database and authentication — data stored in India region), Vercel (website hosting — static files only, no personal data), and Razorpay (payment processing — we never see your full card number). We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracking tools.

6. Grievance Officer

As required under the DPDP Act 2023, our designated Grievance Officer can be contacted at: privacy@datadost.in. We will respond to all grievances within 30 days of receipt.

2. Your responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old to use DataDost. You agree to upload only documents that belong to you or that you are legally authorised to share. You must not use DataDost for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. Subscription and payments

DataDost offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time. Refunds are provided for unused portions of annual plans. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

4. Intellectual property

The DataDost name, logo, AI persona, and all product content are the intellectual property of DataDost Technologies. You may not copy, reproduce, or replicate any part of DataDost without written permission. The financial data you upload remains entirely yours.

5. Limitation of liability

DataDost's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 3 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. AI-generated outputs may occasionally be inaccurate — always verify important financial information independently.

6. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. For any concerns, contact us at legal@datadost.in before initiating legal proceedings.
